We've redesigned the system to include a double-adjustable lower arm so people can accommodate different tire sizes and make more pinion angle adjustments to the car.” Team Z's proprietor Dave Zimmerman explains, “The NHRA Stock rules mandate a non-adjustable lower control arm. This suspension kit has proven to be two-tenths quicker on the racetrack in Ford Racing's testing cycles than all other competing brands. It has been proven in competition all over the country in NHRA competition along with various other race classes and sanctioning bodies. The system is a culmination of hundreds of hours of Team Z research, development, and on-track testing in conjunction with Ford Racing for the Cobra Jet factory race program. Anti-roll bar links feature high-strength rod ends and on-the-car adjustability features. Replaceable bronze bushings retain the anti-roll bar and provide a positive, bolt-in mounting solution. An anti-roll bar is included in the kit and features a bolt-in design that functions as part of the lower control arm bracket. All mounting hardware is supplied including a spherical rearend housing bushing.Īll three control arms are constructed from seamless 4130 tubing and feature a black powdercoat finish for durability and resistance to corrosion. On the top side, a double-adjustable upper control arm and a dual-mounting-position, laser-cut and TIG-welded body-side mount are included in the kit so that pinion angle can be adjusted without removing the suspension parts from the car. The package includes a pair of TIG-welded double-adjustable chromoly lower control arms complete with high-strength rod ends and a pair of TIG-welded lower-arm relocation brackets to provide added bite on the dragstrip. As the development partner and supplier of every Cobra Jet's rear suspension systems to Ford Racing since the record-setting platform's debut in 2008, Team Z Motorsports understands what it takes to make the S197 Mustang platform get down the track quickly and safely. Team Z Motorsports, of Taylor, Michigan, is proud to announce the release of their re-designed S197 Mustang/Cobra Jet Rear Suspension System.
